Service Learning and Servant-Leadership

Hands helping hands

More and more institutions of higher learning now emphasize the importance of their students being involved in the community beyond the school, giving back in gratitude for what has been done for them and helping the underprivileged and marginalized. The Gabriel Center supports this important work and provides training to enhance the service learning experience for the students, the agencies for whom they work and the people being supported. With guidance from the Gabriel Center's experienced facilitators, students can deepen their skills in such areas as:

  • active listening;
  • conflict management;
  • building collaboration; and
  • group development based on trust and inclusion of each member.

Servant-leader training strengthens the service learning experience by giving the students invaluable knowledge about themselves even as they reach out to others in need. Please contact us to discuss ways that we can support your service learning program.
